MapPak for iOS and Android

Stuck, found a bug, or have a map that won't import? Email support@mappak.io and a human will get back to you. Including your device model, your app version (Settings → About), and — if a specific file is misbehaving — the file itself will usually get you a fix in one round-trip.

Quick answers

My map imports but isn't positioned. Your file likely has no georeferencing embedded. MapPak will offer to let you georeference it yourself — match a few points against the basemap or your GPS position and it becomes a working map.

Satellite imagery isn't loading. Satellite imagery is online-only, so first check your connection. If it still won't load, open Settings → Satellite imagery and paste your own free API key from location.arcgis.com to use your own quota.

The basemap is blank where I'm working. Download the area first: Settings → Offline maps → Download an area. Frame the area, pick a detail level, and save it before you head out.

My GPS dot is grey. A grey dot means the fix is stale — the phone hasn't produced a fresh position recently. Open sky helps; canyons, dense canopy, and buildings slow it down.
